The S30 MC belongs to the Magnetic Conduit Series of mains conditioners by SINE and sits between the entry and mid-level units. Its European price is EUR 850 excluding VAT, placing it between the EUR 680 MC25 and the EUR 1,380 MC40 in the same catalogue. SINE also names this dual-conduit design MC30 and calls it the first model in the range with two magnetic conduits.

Key specs that matter

On a 220 V line SINE quotes 4,000 W of maximum continuous power and 8,000 W of total transient power. Input voltage can be anywhere from 100 to 240 V AC at 50 or 60 Hz. The case measures 305 mm wide, 125 mm deep and 80 mm high, and the unit weighs 5.5 kg net or 6 kg in its carton. Inside, four runs of 12 AWG solid-core copper handle the wiring. The listed socket type is US, a grounding plug is supplied, and the finish is silver.

Engineering and use context

Two magnetic conduits filter the incoming supply, a structure SINE says removes the current limiting found in conventional line filters and gives firmer control at low frequencies. Power travels in a parallel layout where the live conductor and the return conductor are wired independently, which is meant to keep the two poles from interacting and to lower distortion. The former bypass output has been replaced by a high current circuit, and a compensation circuit supports current flow to the connected loads. The outlets are newly selected T1-grade purple copper parts, each socket individually put through a cryogenic treatment. A 15 mm aluminium-alloy chassis shields the internals from EMI and RF, lightning and surge protection is built in, and natural minerals inside the case are there to neutralise static and absorb electromagnetic interference.

Pairing

SINE aims the S30 MC at listeners who want to balance performance against cost within the series. Two of its outlets are upgraded high current sockets, which the maker says give better conditioning to the components plugged into them. Across the range, SINE credits its conduit filtering with a lower background noise level, protection from electrical pulse interference and suppression of brief spikes on the mains waveform.

Alternatives

The SINE MC25 is the smallest single-conduit conditioner in the same series and carries a lower power rating.
