The MC25 is the smallest unit in the current Magnetic Conduit Series of AC power conditioners from SINE. It replaces the earlier S20A and is listed in Europe at EUR 680 excluding VAT. SINE builds it in a silver finish, and the conduit inside is a newer, larger design than the one used before in the S20A.
Key specs that matter
SINE rates maximum continuous power at 2,200 W and total transient power at 4,400 W, both on a 220 V supply. Mains frequency may be 50 or 60 Hz. The chassis is long and low at 450 mm wide, 85 mm deep and 55 mm high. Net weight is 3.4 kg, rising to 4.4 kg with packing. A single magnetic conduit forms the filter, 50% larger in volume than its predecessor's, and every connection inside runs on 13 AWG solid-core copper wire.
Engineering and use context
Magnetic Conduit is SINE's own filter technology, developed in-house and built into every one of the company's latest power conditioners. The company says it removes noise from the mains, corrects deviations from a clean sine wave, shields the connected gear from electrical pulse interference and trims short spikes or glitches in the waveform. The US-type version carries new T1-grade outlets in purple copper that have been cryogenically treated at -196 degrees C, and the outlets are upgraded to high current types. SINE credits this new socket design, together with the bigger conduit, with better dynamic power delivery than the outgoing S20A offered. The inside of the case is filled with damping material to cut resonance and vibration, while a thick aluminium-alloy enclosure blocks outside interference. SINE also places natural minerals inside the unit and states that they reduce electrical noise through static neutralisation and absorption of electromagnetic interference.
Pairing
SINE positions the MC25 as an entry-level conditioner for smaller systems. The company adds that the conduit approach avoids the current limiting of conventional filters, so even this compact model is built to cope with high current demands from the connected components. The accepted input range is 100 to 240 V AC, and buyers choose between US, UK and Schuko outlet versions to match local wall sockets.
Alternatives
The SINE MC40 is a mid-level conditioner in the same series, derived from the S60A design with dual aluminium-alloy filtration and a slimmer, lighter chassis than that model, listed at EUR 1,380 excluding VAT.
