The ToneWinner AT-3000 is an AV receiver with eleven built-in amplifier channels and decoding for up to 14 channels, made by Guangzhou Tonewinner Electronics in China. Beyond home cinema duties it doubles as a karaoke system, with microphone input and volume control on its fascia.

Key specs that matter

The amplifiers deliver 240 W RMS into 8 ohm for the left, right and centre channels and 120 W RMS into 8 ohm for the remaining eight channels, each measured with one channel driven at 1 kHz and 1 percent distortion. Tonewinner quotes 1,680 W in total. Decoding covers 7.3.6 or 9.3.4, with three subwoofer outputs, and the unit supports Atmos and TrueHD from Dolby as well as DTS:X and DTS-HD MA. The manufacturer lists 10 Hz to 50 kHz (+1/-3 dB, pure mode), distortion of no more than 0.03 percent, SNR of 95 dB or higher with A-weighting, and 38 dB minimum gain. Six HDMI sources and two displays connect via HDMI 2.1, HDCP 2.2, eARC and CEC, handling 4K at 60 Hz in full RGB colour at 18 Gbps bandwidth, plus HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision. The chassis measures 431 x 439 x 218 mm and weighs 22.1 kg.

Engineering and use context

Audio processing relies on an Analog Devices SHARC ADSP-21573 floating-point processor with a Cirrus Logic CS42528 codec, while a Panasonic MN864788 chip handles HDMI switching and can process up to 32 audio objects. A high-power transformer supplies the amplifiers. Easy Test EQ, written by Tonewinner engineers, offers automatic and professional acoustic tests with a separately sold microphone, and each channel gets 5 to 11 bands of parametric EQ shown on an on-screen overlay. Lip-sync delay can be set up to 1000 ms. Analog inputs number four, alongside two coaxial and two optical inputs, USB audio from a PC, flash drives or TF cards as large as 128 GB, and a wireless receiver with a range of about 15 m. For karaoke, a built-in DSP adjusts reverb and echo and applies nine levels of feedback suppression. RS232, IR input and a 5V trigger allow system control, and the mains supply can be set to 110 V or 230 V.

Pairing

The eleven amplified outputs drive a 7.1.4 speaker layout directly, while up to three powered subwoofers can be wired to the dedicated sub outputs. For 7.3.6 or 9.3.4 layouts the AT-3000 can also work as a preamplifier feeding external power amplifiers.
