No visible logo anywhere on the front panel - Davis Acoustics deliberately left the DAVIS name off THE STAGE, hiding it on the rear instead, because this loudspeaker is engineered to disappear into a room as a piece of furniture first and a speaker second. One component, a genuine near-perfect scaled-down homothety of Davis Acoustics's larger flagship THE WALL, roughly 77 per cent of its predecessor's height, width and depth while retaining the same fundamental engineering, and a rated 91.5dB sensitivity into a 4-ohm load. This entry captures the loudspeaker itself as the Munich room's centrepiece, part of Davis Acoustics's distinctive Heritage range rather than a fully catalogued electronics chain.

Why these components work together

THE STAGE's woofer was custom-designed specifically for this model rather than simply shrunk from THE WALL's original driver - it shares the same horn, core diameter and TiCoNAl magnetic motor as Davis's well-regarded 20 TK8R driver, but scaled up to 10 inches with a voice coil developed to improve sub-bass control at this larger size, an engineering decision aimed at retaining THE WALL's deep, room-shaking low end even within a physically smaller cabinet. The tweeter is identical to THE WALL's, a cone rather than dome design Davis calls the ultimate refinement of its TWZ tweeter lineage, chosen to extend high-frequency energy and speed beyond what a conventional dome typically achieves. A side-mounted circular port, adjustable to face either toward a wall or into the room depending on placement, gives the design genuine flexibility for the kind of domestic rooms Heritage-series buyers are actually working with, instead of assuming a dedicated acoustically treated listening space. At 91.5dB sensitivity, THE STAGE needs only 100 to 150 watts of amplifier power to perform properly, an accessible requirement for a loudspeaker built with this level of driver customisation.
