Why these components work together

The Quintet Extreme pairs a 1-inch pure diamond tweeter with a 3-inch pure diamond high-midrange driver, a 7-inch pure beryllium midrange, and two 10-inch aluminium-sandwich woofers, all integrated through a proprietary first-order crossover built from custom components and tuned by ear rather than purely by measurement, delivering 89dB sensitivity into a 4-ohm load with bass extension to 18Hz. The cabinet itself is a genuine multi-material laminate, carbon fibre, aluminium, wood and fibreboard layered together specifically to create what the company calls an acoustically inert enclosure, mounted on mirror-polished stainless-steel stands fitted with Marten's own upgraded Isolators to decouple the cabinet from the floor. Every internal connection runs Jorma Paragon wiring, the same premium cabling Marten reserves for its most ambitious models, terminated in custom binding posts built for this range rather than off-the-shelf hardware. That combination of diamond and beryllium driver materials, a first-order crossover tuned by ear, and a cabinet engineered from four separate structural materials working together is precisely what let Marten bring Supreme Extreme-level engineering into a considerably more compact, single-tower format.
