Why these components work together

The Exquisite Grand 3.0 carries an unusual tweeter array, a 20mm and a pair of 30mm diamond concave domes working together rather than a single conventional tweeter, paired with twin 7-inch Kharma Omega-7 midrange drivers and a pair of substantial Nomex-Kevlar bass units, delivering a frequency response from 20Hz to 100kHz into a 4-ohm load. That diamond-dome technology, standard across the entire Exquisite range, is chosen specifically because diamond's exceptional stiffness-to-mass ratio lets the tweeter reproduce pure, undistorted high frequencies without the breakup modes that limit lesser dome materials at extreme frequencies. The tungsten-ball decoupling system beneath the cabinet minimises the physical contact area with the floor to the smallest degree Kharma's engineers found practical, reducing the pathway through which floor-borne vibration could feed back into the cabinet and colour the drivers' output, a different approach from the substantial spike-and-cone footers most flagship loudspeakers rely on. Separate connectors for the mid/high section and the low-frequency section make the Exquisite Grand 3.0 bi-ampable or bi-wireable, letting an owner drive the demanding bass array with dedicated amplification independent of the midrange and tweeter section if desired.
