German loudspeaker manufacturer Nubert has expanded the finish options for two popular models in its nuLine series – the compact nuLine 34 and the floorstanding nuLine 284. Both speakers are now available in a new Cappuccino finish, joining the traditional black and white versions. The warm coffee-beige shade, featuring subtle cream and grey undertones, is designed to complement contemporary interiors dominated by natural materials and understated colour palettes. The cabinet design remains unchanged, retaining rounded edges, asymmetrically positioned tweeters and slightly convex metal grilles. A multi-layer lacquer finish, applied with intermediate sanding stages, gives the surfaces a silky-matte texture.

The bookshelf Nubert nuLine 34 features a two-way bass-reflex design suitable for both traditional stereo systems and multichannel home theatre setups. It incorporates a 180 mm bass/midrange driver with a polypropylene cone and a proprietary 26 mm nuOva tweeter with a soft silk dome. The bass-reflex port is located on the rear panel, while the lower frequency limit extends to 48 Hz at −3 dB. The speaker also features bi-wiring terminals and an integrated switch that allows users to adjust the tweeter output according to room acoustics and personal preferences.

The larger Nubert nuLine 284 is a three-way floorstanding loudspeaker measuring 110 cm in height and just 18 cm in width. Low frequencies are handled by three 150 mm woofers with polypropylene cones, while a 123 mm driver with a flat diaphragm reproduces the midrange. High frequencies are delivered by the same 26 mm nuOva tweeter. The speaker's lower frequency limit reaches 33 Hz at −3 dB. In addition to bi-wiring terminals, the model features separate controls for adjusting high- and low-frequency output. The first provides three selectable treble settings, while the second allows bass output to be reduced when the speakers are positioned close to a wall.

Nubert emphasises that the update is purely cosmetic, with the driver configuration, internal circuitry and sonic characteristics remaining unchanged. Both models continue to prioritise accurate, neutral music reproduction. In Europe, the Nubert nuLine 34 Cappuccino is priced at €365 per speaker, or €730 per pair. The floorstanding nuLine 284 costs €995 per speaker, bringing the price of a stereo pair to €1,990. The larger model is already available, while deliveries of the compact nuLine 34 in the new finish are scheduled to begin in mid-October.
