Linn has introduced its new Linn 343 floorstanding loudspeakers. According to the company, this model redefines expectations for how a compact speaker can sound.

At the heart of the Linn 343 lies the proprietary 8-inch Pistonik 343 driver, delivering exceptional linearity and long excursion. The speaker enclosure itself was designed specifically around this driver to maximize its performance capabilities. Positioning the 220mm aluminum-diaphragm woofer as low as possible allowed for a sleek design while achieving deep bass.

A 190mm aluminum driver handles the mid-bass, while a 64mm thin carbon dome manages the midrange, and a 19mm thin carbon dome handles the high frequencies. The cabinet has a volume of 43 liters; these composite enclosures feature a rounded, corner-free shape that further helps suppress standing waves and resonances.

All electronics are housed in a separate module at the rear of the cabinet. Following the tradition of the legendary Sondek LP12, this module is mounted using a three-point spring suspension system that completely isolates the electronics from the main cabinet.

The Linn 343 is available in two versions. The "Exakt Integrated" is an active model featuring the Utopik power supply, Exakt digital crossover, Power DAC architecture, Organik DAC, and built-in amplification. The "Passive with Active Bass" (PWAB) variant utilizes the same drivers but features built-in bass amplification while requiring external amplification for the high and mid-range frequencies.
