Dynaudio has announced a new family of loudspeakers in the Confidence i series, effectively replacing the "classic" 2018 Confidence line. The latest models - the two-way stand-mount Confidence 20i and the three-way floor-standing Confidence 30i and 50i - offer significantly optimized dispersion patterns and enhanced crossover precision.

At the heart of the Dynaudio Confidence i series are the new 28mm Esotar 3i tweeters. These drivers feature an upgraded magnet system and an improved ferrofluid composition, which serves to cool the voice coil while damping mechanical resonances. Furthermore, the designers have incorporated the Dynaudio Directivity Control 3.0 (DDC 3.0) system, engineered to minimize unwanted sound reflections from the floor and ceiling. The Confidence 30i and 50i models utilize an updated DDC Lens with optimized geometry, contributing to a broader and deeper soundstage. The stand-mount Confidence 20i also features a custom-engineered DDC Lens, precisely matched to the characteristics of the new tweeter.

Another major improvement in the Dynaudio Confidence i series is the redesigned crossover circuitry, which uses fewer components while achieving greater precision in driver integration. The crossovers incorporate high-quality capacitors developed in collaboration with Danish manufacturer Duelund, along with Dynaudio's proprietary UltraPrecision Array resistor assemblies. According to the manufacturer, the component tolerances of these resistors are more than ten times tighter than those of conventional resistors. This approach ensures consistent crossover performance, improves transient response accuracy, and enables more coherent operation of the drivers. The revised crossover architecture is also intended to preserve natural tonal characteristics while enhancing the reproduction of subtle musical details.

The entry-level Dynaudio Confidence 20i is a two-way standmount loudspeaker featuring a 28mm Esotar 3i tweeter and a 180mm NeoTec mid/bass driver with a cone made from Dynaudio's proprietary Magnesium Silicate Polymer (MSP). Its downward-firing bass reflex port works in conjunction with a dedicated stand, directing airflow through openings on the sides. The speaker offers a frequency response of 45Hz to 27kHz, a sensitivity of 87dB, and an IEC long-term power handling capacity of 250W. The floorstanding Confidence 30i employs a three-way configuration with a single 150mm midrange driver and two 180mm NeoTec MSP woofers. It covers a frequency range of 39Hz to 27kHz, has a sensitivity of 86dB, and is rated for 350W of power handling. The flagship Confidence 50i features two 150mm midrange drivers and two 180mm woofers, providing enhanced control over sound dispersion and greater dynamic capabilities. Its specifications include a frequency response of 37Hz to 27kHz, a sensitivity of 88dB, and a long-term power handling capacity of 400W.

In terms of appearance, the Confidence i loudspeakers retain the distinctive design language of the previous generation, combining substantial cabinets, flowing lines, and premium finishing materials. Three finish options will be available: Blonde Wood, Ruby Wood High Gloss, and Space High Gloss. European sales are scheduled to begin on November 24, 2026, with the first two finishes available at launch, while the Space High Gloss version is expected to arrive in early 2027. Recommended retail prices are €15,000 per pair for the Confidence 20i standmount speakers, including dedicated stands, €25,000 per pair for the floorstanding Confidence 30i, and €35,000 per pair for the flagship Confidence 50i. The updated series is aimed at discerning music enthusiasts seeking high-precision loudspeakers and versatile options for building high-end audio systems.
