Sigberg Audio is a small Norwegian maker of active loudspeaker systems and subwoofers, founded in April 2020 by Thorbjorn Sigberg. Every system is DSP-driven, reaches full-range bass down to 20 Hz and is sold with setup help from the designer himself, on site in Norway and remotely elsewhere. Its first products were aimed at professional studios before moving into home listening.
Range & what it's known for
The current range has three systems. SBS G2 is a compact four-way monitor system whose bass comes from separate units placed where they work best in the room. Manta is a larger four-way main monitor with a cardioid design that steers sound toward the listener rather than the walls. Saranna is a full-range floorstander with three 8 inch woofers in a cabinet designed to work with the wall behind it, also cardioid, and named after the founder's grandmothers Sara and Anna. Subwoofers include the Inkognito, the first Sigberg product, now in a second generation, and the 10D. Amplifier modules and drivers are user-replaceable, and a new Manta Sentinel model is in development.
Who owns it and where it's made
Sigberg Audio is family-owned. Thorbjorn Sigberg, whose interest started with an uncle's DIY system in the mid-1980s, designs, develops and builds all the speakers, working with outside partners and advisors. Systems are designed, developed and assembled in Norway, with cabinets made in Estonia. Pricing is all-inclusive, and buyers get a 60-day home trial, a five-year warranty and lifetime support from the designer, also offered to second-hand owners.

Who it's for
Listeners and studios who want an active system tuned to a real room without heavy acoustic treatment, and who value direct contact with the person who designed it. Most systems begin with SBS G2 and Inkognito or 10D subwoofers, Saranna suits those who want a single floorstanding cabinet, and Manta is the large main-monitor option.
