Seefluth Audio is a German one-man loudspeaker maker based in Bühl, Baden, founded by Michael Seefluth, who develops and builds the Qlang series of active loudspeakers by hand in small production runs.
Range & what it's known for
The current focus is the Qlang M4s, a slim DSP-active floorstander whose sealed solid-wood cabinet is only 12 cm deep and is stiffened inside by a matrix bracing structure, with a passive bass radiator. Each speaker uses two 18 cm SEAS mid/bass drivers with coated paper cones and two Morel silk-dome tweeters, driven by two-channel Hypex Class D amplification through a DSP-controlled active crossover.
Who owns it and where it's made
The company is run by its founder, and the speakers are hand-built at his workshop in Baden-Württemberg. Sales are direct only. In the Founders' Edition, limited to 20 pairs, Michael Seefluth personally delivers and installs each system within 800 km of the workshop.
The lineup in this catalog
