Ferrum Audio is a Polish maker of headphone amplifiers, DACs and power supplies, launched in early 2020 by HEM, an electronics design firm based in Pruszkow near Warsaw. HEM spent around two decades designing and building equipment for other companies, chiefly the Mytek Digital brand, before starting Ferrum as its own label. The name means iron in Latin, a reference to the iron-working history of the Warsaw region.
Range & what it's known for
The range grew one product at a time. HYPSOS, an external DC power supply, came first, followed by the OOR headphone amplifier, the ERCO headphone DAC and amplifier, and the WANDLA converter.
