Erzetich Audio is a Slovenian boutique maker of headphone amplifiers, headphones and accessories, set up in 2012 by Blaž Erzetič in Trnovo, close to the Italian border. It is a small personal-audio workshop rather than a factory, and its products are assembled by hand in limited numbers. The brand built its name on compact amplifiers that combine plexiglass and aluminium with wood, and it later added its own dynamic headphones so that buyers can take a complete headphone chain from one source.
Range & what it's known for
The company opened with three amplifiers, Bacillus, Bacillus Tilia and Perfidus, plus a wooden headphone stand called Tilia Vitro. Deimos followed in early 2014 as a dual-mono design, and the amplifier line later grew with Bacillus II, Bacillus II +, Scylla and the hybrid Medousa. Headphones include Thalia, Mania, Phobos and Charybdis. Two of the early amplifiers use artificially aged linden wood, chosen because linden is the national tree of Slovenia, and each wooden chassis is painted and shaped by hand, so no two units look identical. The founder has said the Bacillus Tilia became the best seller of the first range.
Who owns it and where it's made
The business is privately held and run by its founder, who acts as chief executive of Erzetich d.o.o. Production stays in Slovenia. Wooden parts are made in a workshop in the woods of Trnovo, while assembly and electronics work take place in a second workshop nearby. The company describes the process as closer to building a musical instrument than to making consumer electronics, and it avoids animal-derived materials in its products.
The lineup in this catalog
Headphone amplifiers from the compact Bacillus II and Bacillus II + up to Perfidus, Deimos and Scylla, and headphones including Mania, Thalia and a gold-plated limited edition of Charybdis. The maker's own shop lists Phobos V2024 at EUR 1,999 and Charybdis at EUR 3,000.
Who it's for
Headphone owners who want a small, hand-assembled amplifier with a visible wooden or industrial finish will find an easy entry in the Bacillus II models. From there the path leads to the dual-mono Deimos and Scylla, and finally to a matched pair with Phobos or Charybdis headphones. The brand fits buyers who value a one-person design signature and European handwork over mass production.
