Buchardt Audio is a Danish loudspeaker maker founded in 2013 in Silkeborg by Mads Buchardt and Kasper Raun. It sells passive and active speakers, subwoofers and stands directly to listeners in many countries through its own online store, without distributors, agents or retail shops in the chain. That direct route is the whole business model, and it lets a small team keep prices lower than a retail margin would allow.

The passive line runs from the compact P300 through the S400 MK3 to the E50 and E50-S stand-mounts. The E50 pairs a Scan-Speak 28 mm textile-dome tweeter, loaded by a waveguide, with a Purifi 6.5-inch midwoofer and twin rear passive radiators instead of a bass-reflex port, a choice that shrank the cabinet by about 30 percent. Active models include the A200 and the A700 LE, and the A500 of 2020 was the first powered pair, taking three years to develop from the S400. The SUB10 subwoofer and wooden stands complete the range, and owners of older passive pairs can buy an MK2 active upgrade kit.

The two founders came from an earlier joint venture, RABU Acoustics, started in 2008 around speaker parts and design. Kasper Raun later worked at Dynaudio on its Xeo and Focus XD ranges. Buchardt remains a small independent team, and today office, warehouse, development, assembly and an in-house woodworking shop sit under one roof in Silkeborg, where many cabinets and stands are now made by the company itself.
