Argon Audio is a Danish audio brand started in the early 2000s as the in-house label of the retailer HiFi Klubben and run since 2019 as a separate company based in Nørager in northern Jutland. Its business is low-priced turntables, active speakers, amplifiers and streamers designed in Denmark and sold directly online across Europe with a three-year warranty and a 30-day return period.
Range & what it's known for
Active speakers are the centre of the catalogue. The Fenris A4 and Forte A5 MK2 are the two main lines, with the Forte the larger and better-equipped pair, and both are sold with Bluetooth and HDMI ARC so they can drive a television as well as a streamer. The Studie series covers passive speakers, the Berlin Sub 10 and Sub 12 add bass, and the Kontur stands are matched to the speakers. Turntables run from the TT MK2 through the TT-3 Plus and TT-4 to the Aurora at the top. Electronics include the SA1 MK2 and SA2 integrated amplifiers, the Solo all-in-one, the Stream 2 MK3 streamer and the CD1 player. The house approach is to keep the number of models small, fit each with current connectivity and hold prices low by skipping shops and distributors.
Who owns it and where it's made
Argon Audio was founded inside HiFi Klubben, the Scandinavian chain established by Peter Lyngdorf, and drew on the chain's staff of several hundred audio specialists. In 2019 it was detached as an independent limited company under CEO Henrik Sørensen, with its office at Dali Alle 1 in Nørager. Products are designed and engineered in Denmark by its own team and built to its specifications abroad.

Argon suits a first-time buyer who wants a Danish-designed system without visiting a shop.
