In the model, the preamp section is completely analog, it is reliably isolated from all other circuits. The DAC section is built on an ESS Sabre chip and is capable of receiving 32-bit/384 kHz and DSD256 GSM signals.
This is not only an exceptional CD player, but also a first-class external DAC/digital preamp that can get the most out of your CD collection. By increasing the resolution to 32 bit/384 kHz and DSD compatibility via USB input, it now dramatically expands the capabilities of external digital audio sources.
The model is equipped with the same slot loading mechanism as the top-end 8300CD CD player. When reading, all data is sent to the buffer for error correction, so that the transport is able to play even quite badly damaged CDs.
The Audiolab 7000CDT uses a high-precision optical system with an electronic data buffer for accurate and smooth CD playback. Very similar to the 9000 CD technology, the 7000CDT uses a digital read-ahead buffer to reduce disk read failures, helping to reproduce scratched and damaged CDs that may be unreadable by conventional mechanisms.
