The AMP VI is the stereo power amplifier that Accustic Arts presents as its statement in two-channel amplification, handmade in Germany. The company says it raised the output power again after many customers asked for more, and the result uses the same 328 x 530 x 545 mm enclosure as the MONO VI. Finishes are aluminium with chrome, black with gold and black with chrome, and US prices have been USD 66,990 in chrome and USD 68,990 in gold.

The layout is dual mono, with a fully isolated power supply for each channel. There are 40 selected MOS-FET output transistors, twice the count of the AMP IV, fed by two magnetically shielded and encapsulated toroidal transformers and more than 220,000 uF of filter capacitance from German suppliers. Gold-plated contacts are used throughout. The switchable damping factor linearization from Accustic Arts can be engaged or bypassed, a protective circuit reacts to clipping, HF oscillation and excessive DC offset, and an integrated soft-start limits current at power-on. The housing is heavy, resonance-optimised aluminium with a front inlay of high-gloss polished and chromed brass.

The high damping factor and low-impedance capability make the AMP VI suitable for large passive loudspeakers with low sensitivity or awkward impedance, driven from one chassis instead of two monoblocks. XLR and RCA inputs are both present and selected by a switch, and gold-plated terminals accept bi-wire runs. A preamplifier with balanced output is the obvious partner, and the heavy chassis calls for a floor-level location.
