The amplification scheme is similar to the technology used for the 711 and 701 amplifiers. It is based on a proprietary voltage amplification cascade consisting of linearized amplifiers operating up to a cutoff frequency of 80 MHz. Current amplification is performed in three stages, each of which uses a very small and thus almost linear operating range. High Class A operation, complemented by 500,000 UF of storage capacity in the power supply, results in an almost infinite pulse response.
