The Model 70 outputs 50 watts per channel and is based on an advanced Class A/B circuit. The key point here is the enlarged toroidal transformer: it is responsible for the current reserve and stability of operation at real acoustic loads. The analog path uses proprietary HDAM circuitry, modules that Marantz uses in its top—line products and is now moving to a more democratic level.
