The KWA 99 monoblock power amplifiers use Exicon Lateral MOSFETS field effect MOSFETs, providing expressive sound and the required level of reliability. One of the side walls of the housing is an open radiator for cooling the output stage, which operates in class A/B and develops up to 200 watts when operating on a load with a nominal resistance of 4 ohms.
The LS 99 uses the same topology of transformer-coupled inputs and outputs, a tube rectifier, and SS stabilized power supplies with (2) 6922 driver lamps. The power supply is external, but not dual mono, like the LS 300.
ModWright Instruments PH 9.0 allows you to adjust the load on the fly, the gain reaches 66 dB for the MS section and 52 dB for the MM section. The circuit design is lamp-type.
The PH 150 is a design based on a lamp transformer with an external power supply SPS 150.
This is a hybrid model capable of producing up to 225 watts per channel. Lamps are used in the preliminary amplification stage, and powerful transistors are already operating at the output.
LS 300 Balanced Tube Preamplifier is a tube preamp with an external power supply and a dual monoconstructure.
If we talk about the functionality of the ModWright Instruments LS 100, then it is quite expected from a device of this class – nothing superfluous and no settings. All the functionality is configured exclusively for the various switching capabilities of the preamplifier. Both RCA and XLR connectors are available to the owner of the device, but despite the presence of the latter, the LS 100 preamp is not symmetrical, but only allows you to connect symmetrical sources to it (if they do not have RCA output connectors).
