Проигрыватели виниловых дисков — Gold Note Valore 425 Plus

The Valore 425 Plus is a belt-drive turntable from Gold Note, the Italian company from Tuscany, sold in the US at USD 2,395 to 2,695 depending on finish. It combines a POM platter, a synchronous motor with electronic speed change and the 9-inch Gold Note B-5 tonearm, and it is offered in several finishes including walnut and clear acrylic.

Key specs that matter

The platter is 23 mm thick POM and turns on a chromed steel 5 mm ball bearing with a Split-Spindle clamping design. A high-torque 12 V synchronous motor drives it through a 70-shore ground NBR belt. Speeds are 33 1/3 and 45 rpm with ±0.1% accuracy, selected electronically, with fine pitch adjustment. Wow and flutter is 0.2% and rumble is -75 dB. The plinth is 30 mm thick. The tonearm is the Gold Note B-5, a 9-inch design derived from the B-5.1, and no effective length or effective mass is published. No cartridge is included. Power comes from an 18 V DC supply accepting 100 to 240 V, drawing up to 20 W. A hinged transparent dust cover is supplied. The turntable measures 425 x 160 x 360 mm and weighs 9.5 kg net, or 15 kg boxed.

Engineering and use context

POM, or polyoxymethylene, is the dense engineering plastic Gold Note uses for the platter. A ground belt has a precisely finished surface, which keeps its thickness even around its length and helps stabilise the speed. Electronic speed change switches speeds without moving the belt. In a synchronous motor, rotation follows the frequency of the drive signal, which here comes from the external supply. Finishes are Italian Walnut, Black Lacquer, White, clear acrylic with an opaline white platter, and Silver Foil.

Pairing

Without a cartridge, the Valore 425 Plus leaves the choice of MM or MC cartridge to the owner, and the B-5 arm accepts standard cartridges. A phono stage from Gold Note or another maker connects to the amplifier. The turntable needs a level, stable support.

Alternatives

The Gold Note Pianosa is a turntable with a damped poly-vinyl platter and the B-5.1 arm, rated at 0.1% wow and flutter and -77 dB rumble, weighing 13.5 kg.
