Soulines builds the tt23 as a belt-driven record player. The company is a Serbian maker founded by Igor Gligorov, whose background combines mechanical engineering, music performance and sound engineering. It follows the design direction set by the company's tt9 of 2024 and was first shown in public at the Bristol HiFi Show in February 2026. The UK price was announced as GBP 5,290 including VAT, with sales expected from spring 2026, and the package ships with a tonearm already fitted.

Key specs that matter

A DC motor with electronic control drives the platter at 33 1/3 and 45 rpm, and speed can be trimmed precisely. Its cast acrylic platter is 40 mm thick and weighs 3.5 kg, and it has a 1.0 mm recess so the record label does not touch the surface. The main bearing combines a stainless steel upper outer ring, a brass spindle sleeve, a stainless steel spindle and a Delrin thrust bearing. The deck measures 440 x 180 x 355 mm and weighs 14 kg net. A Soulines KiVi M3 tonearm comes pre-mounted and connects through a standard 5-pin DIN socket.

Engineering and use context

The plinth combines cast acrylic, Delrin (a POM engineering plastic) and aluminium into a lightweight yet rigid assembly. Its proportions were set using the Golden Ratio and the Fibonacci series, with the aim of spreading vibration damping evenly and lowering the moment of inertia in all three planes. Aluminium parts are CNC-machined from solid billets, and key pieces such as the platter, bearing and spindle are made individually so that they can be matched precisely. Each deck is assembled by hand, then inspected and tested before shipping. Like all Soulines decks, it follows the brand's formula of belt drive, DC motor, inverted bearing and non-metallic platter. The KiVi M3 is a captive unipivot arm with a one-piece bearing yoke and arm tube and a counterweight system meant to suit many cartridges.

Pairing

The box contains the SA acrylic dust cover, the tt Clamp record clamp and a cartridge alignment protractor printed on 300 gsm paper, which offers Baerwald, Loefgren and Stevenson geometries. Owners therefore need only to fit a cartridge of their choice and connect the DIN output to a phono stage suited to that cartridge, of either MM or MC type. The clamp and cover mean no further accessories are required to start playing records.

Alternatives

Soulines also offers the tt9, a smaller belt-driven model with a 30 mm acrylic platter weighing 2.5 kg, supplied with the same KiVi M3 arm.
