Стримеры — Linn Selekt DSM

The Selekt DSM is a network streamer with a built-in DAC from Linn, built with wide DSD format support. Linn is a storied British manufacturer with a long history in both turntables and digital streaming, and the Selekt DSM represents a serious mid-tier position within the brand's current DSM streaming platform.

Position in line

It sits below the Klimax DSM and above the Majik DSM in Linn's DSM range. This middle position between the brand's entry Majik and flagship Klimax makes the Selekt a sensible recommendation for buyers wanting genuine Linn streaming engineering without the Klimax's likely considerably higher price.

Key specs that matter

It handles PCM up to 24-bit/384kHz and DSD256. At 355 x 122.5 x 355 mm and 8.05-10.85 kg it is a substantial chassis, with weight varying by configuration, reflecting Linn's modular approach where buyers can specify different internal options within the same basic Selekt platform.

Sound and use context

Expect a clean, controlled presentation typical of Linn's DSM streaming platform, built around network and file-based playback - a capable performer reflecting Linn's considerable engineering focus on digital streaming specifically, refined across several successive DSM generations.

Pairing

Standard analogue outputs work with any preamplifier or integrated amplifier accepting a conventional source connection, so integration should present no particular difficulty regardless of the rest of the system.

Alternatives

The Majik DSM sits below this model in Linn's DSM range; the Klimax DSM sits above it as the brand's flagship, worth the further investment if this model's already solid streaming performance still leaves ambitions for Linn's absolute best digital source. Linn own Space Optimisation room-correction software, available across much of the DSM range, is worth exploring after setup, since it can meaningfully improve bass response in a specific room beyond what the raw hardware specification alone suggests. Linn extensive dealer network across the UK and beyond makes arranging a direct comparison against both the Majik and Klimax practical for most buyers. A dealer visit remains the simplest way to compare current configuration options within the Selekt platform. Toe-in adjustment is not applicable here, but source cable quality and network stability still matter.
