Tekton makes it in the USA and ships it free within the continental United States.

Engineering and use context

The two drivers are placed for time alignment, so their output arrives together at the listening position, and both radiate directly without horn loading. The waveguide around the fabric dome shapes its dispersion. The dome is slightly larger than the 1.1-inch titanium tweeter of the Lore, and like the Lore the Excite uses one tweeter rather than Tekton's patented multi-dome array. Tekton does not publish the crossover frequency and describes the changes only as proprietary modifications. The maker aims the Lore Excite at rock, blues, jazz, funk, rhythm and blues and pop, while describing it as usable for all music. Its cabinet has the external dimensions of the Lore, and the Excite is about 1 kg lighter. Buyers can choose a colour, an upgrade package, a footer style and grilles, which are shipped in their own box. Tekton quotes the Excite at 2.83 V and the Lore at 1 W, and for an 8 ohm speaker these are the same input, so the two sensitivity figures can be compared directly.

Efficiency and an easy load let tube amplifiers of a few watts and compact solid-state integrated amplifiers drive the Lore Excite to high levels. The power rating is the handling limit rather than a minimum. The cabinet fits rooms of about 20 m2, and the woofer provides deep bass for music without a subwoofer. After the price reduction it sits below the Lore, and footer styles let the owner choose how the cabinet meets the floor.
