The Jade 30 belongs to the three-model Polish Pylon Audio Jade range, alongside the Jade 20 and the compact Jade 10. It is the only three-way design of the series, and Pylon suggests it for rooms of 25 to 45 m2. The series combines vintage styling with current driver technology under the motto classic at heart, modern in soul.

Key specs that matter

The 15-inch unit at the bottom is the Pylon Audio PSW 42.8 CS, a woofer with a paper cone. The 6-inch midrange unit is the PSM 22.8 CS, which has a paper cone and an aluminium phase corrector. High frequencies come from the PST 25PO.8, a BMS compression driver mounted in a custom Tractrix horn. Pylon lists an impedance of 8 ohm, a frequency response of 32 Hz to 20 kHz and efficiency of 93 dB. Nominal power is 200 W and maximum power 350 W. The crossover points are placed at 250 Hz and 2,000 Hz. A pair costs around EUR 5,500. Pylon presented the Jade 30 at the Oslo Audio Show in 2025. Each speaker measures 480 x 934 x 460 mm and weighs 55 kg.

Engineering and use context

Pylon says the short Tractrix flare lets the compression driver deliver the treble without the typical horn harshness. The midrange cone has no dust cap, its centre being occupied by the phase corrector, an aluminium cylinder of specific geometry. The woofer combines its classic paper cone with a powerful magnet system. Reflex loading uses a port in the front baffle, and Pylon developed the midrange driver in-house as a proprietary unit. The cabinet is made from solid MDF with reinforcing ribs. The crossover uses linear components and foil capacitors, which the maker describes as uncompromising. Specially profiled feet tilt the cabinet gently so that the output is focused at listener ear level, and the grille, in a vintage style, fits on pegs and is included. Two walnut finishes are available, natural American walnut treated with PURE oil-wax and black American walnut with a 0 percent gloss lacquer.

Pairing

Pylon describes the load as easy and the efficiency as relatively high, so the amplifier does not need to deliver unusual current into a low impedance. Both the Jade 20 and the Jade 10 share the same walnut finishes, horn tweeter and grille style, so smaller pairs from the range can be used in other rooms of the same home with a matching look.
