The Phantom Ultimate CI 108 is the custom installation version of the larger Phantom Ultimate speaker from Devialet of Paris, announced in July 2026 and shown publicly at the CEDIA Expo 2026 in Denver from 1 to 4 September. Devialet describes it as re-engineered from the network up for luxury multiroom systems, private home theaters and large commercial projects, rather than as a consumer Phantom in a different finish. It was introduced together with a smaller CI 98 dB model, and both share the same networking platform and installer tools, so one project can combine them.
Key specs that matter
Total amplification is 1,100 W, and the frequency range is given as 14 Hz to 35 kHz at plus or minus 6 dB. Audio is processed at 32 bit and 96 kHz, and system latency is 18 ms, which Devialet considers suitable for home theater use and most live and multiroom applications. Devialet Care cover for this model runs five years under professional terms. Pricing, ordering and delivery dates had not been announced at launch.
Engineering and use context
Networking is the main difference from the consumer 108 dB. Wireless links are dropped in favour of built-in Dante from Audinate and Audio over IP, and each speaker connects over a standard Ethernet cable straight to a network switch, so uncompressed audio can be routed without external Dante converters or adapters. The Dante Embedded Platform supports up to 128 input and 128 output channels. Power over Ethernet is not supported, so each unit still needs its own mains supply. Installers get a browser-based administration page, an open native IP control API and the option to cap the maximum volume. Control system drivers were planned for later in 2026, certified for Savant, RTI, Control4, NICE ELAN, Crestron and Crestron Home. The speaker ships in a Monitoring Mode with a flat response, and any equalisation is expected to happen upstream in the Dante matrix or an external processor. Mixed deployments with the smaller CI model in one system are supported.
Pairing
Sources can be any Dante-capable matrix, processor or audio over IP device on the same network. Finishes are Light Pearl in ultra-matte off-white, Deep Forest in dark green with black chrome, and Opera de Paris, hand-finished in 22 karat gold. Mounting options are the Treepod, offered only for this model, plus the Tree and Gecko accessories for architectural integration.
Alternatives
The Devialet Phantom Ultimate CI 98 dB is the compact installation model, with 400 W of amplification and the same Dante connectivity.
