Полочная акустика — KRK Systems GOAUX 3

The GoAux 3 is a portable bi-amplified bookshelf speaker system from KRK, built specifically for travelling musicians and engineers who need genuine KRK studio monitor sound quality in a mobile-friendly package. KRK has long been a mainstay name in studio monitors across certain genres and even the occasional professional Atmos mixing setup, but that established range was never easy to carry - a full-size ROCKIT 5 pair weighs a hefty 22 lbs - and the GoAux line was specifically developed to solve that portability gap.

Key specs that matter

Rated response is 65Hz to 20kHz with 99dB SPL. Each speaker pairs a 3-inch woven glass aramid woofer with a 1-inch soft textile dome tweeter, in a bi-amplified Class D two-way design delivering 60W RMS total system power - 22W RMS to each woofer and 8W RMS to each tweeter. Signal-to-noise ratio is 95dB, with total harmonic distortion plus noise at 0.2% at 1kHz. Rear-ported ABS cabinets measure 6.8 x 4.37 x 4.72 inches, delivering surprising bass extension for a portable speaker. The main (left) speaker houses volume, EQ, RCA, 3.5mm aux and Bluetooth inputs, plus a front-panel headphone output with auto-mute, while power and signal reach the second speaker through an included proprietary cable, meaning the pair needs only a single AC outlet. Built-in LF and HF EQ switches offer -3dB, flat and +2dB settings to tailor response to a specific room or personal preference. Total weight including both speakers, adjustable stands, and a nylon carrying bag is 6.94 lbs (3.15kg).

Sound and use context

Expect good detail and respectable low-end that punches above this speaker's weight class - these monitors deliver the same natural, balanced frequency response character KRK's larger studio monitor range is known for, in a size that fits into a padded carry bag.

Pairing

Bluetooth, RCA and 3.5mm aux inputs cover virtually any source device, and the front-panel headphone output with auto-mute lets a buyer monitor silently in a shared space without disturbing others.

Alternatives

KRK's GoAux 4 sits above this model with a larger 4-inch woofer, 100W total system power, and an Automatic Room Correction feature using an included measurement microphone, worth the further investment if this GoAux 3's already impressive portable performance still leaves ambitions for greater bass extension and room-specific tuning.
