The UX1000 is a closed over-ear Bluetooth headphone with active noise cancelling from final, the Japanese maker of headphones and earphones. It opens the UX wireless range, which began with the UX3000, the brand's first wireless over-ear model with hybrid noise cancelling. Sales started in Japan in November 2025 at 7,980 yen including tax, and the international launch followed on 9 December 2025 at USD 64.99, EUR 63.99 and GBP 49.99. It arrived together with the more expensive UX5000, and buyers can choose black or greige.

Key specs that matter

Bluetooth 5.4 carries the A2DP, AVRCP, HFP and GAVDP profiles, and codec support is limited to SBC and AAC. Multipoint lets the headphone stay linked to two sources at once. The 500 mAh battery gives 40 hours of listening when ANC is active, stretching to 70 hours when it is off, and refilling it over USB-C needs roughly two hours. Frequency range is 20 Hz to 20 kHz. The headphone weighs 250 g, and the headband folds so the cups tuck in for carrying.

Engineering and use context

Final uses hybrid cancelling, in which feedforward and feedback microphones work together to pick up and counter outside noise. An Ambient mode passes surrounding sound through for announcements or traffic. The drivers are dynamic, and final says it studied their acoustic behaviour closely so that only a small corrective equaliser curve is needed, applied mainly to tame treble peaks that can appear over Bluetooth. Controls are four physical buttons on the right cup - an ANC key on top, volume up and down, and a power key. A short press of the power key starts or pauses playback and a long press switches the unit on or off, while holding a volume key skips tracks. There is no companion app, so the button layout cannot be remapped. The shell is plastic over a metal frame with a matte soft-touch coating that resists fingerprints, oils and wear. Earpads are leatherette over foam, and the headband has a soft padded insert. A charging cable is not supplied in the box.

Pairing

As a self-contained wireless headphone the UX1000 needs no amplifier or DAC and works directly with phones, tablets and computers that stream AAC or SBC. Owners of Android phones with LDAC or aptX Adaptive get no benefit from those codecs here, since the UX1000 falls back to AAC or SBC with them. For calls it relies on the HFP profile listed above, which lets it take phone and video calls hands-free.
