Наушники — JBL QUANTUM ONE

The Quantum ONE is a closed-back JBL headset for gaming, worn over the ear, that connects by USB to a PC and by a 3.5 mm cable to other platforms. Introduced in 2020, it adds head-tracking JBL QuantumSPHERE 360 spatial audio, Active Noise Cancelling tuned for gaming environments and a Hi-Res certification for its drivers.

Key specs that matter

Hi-Res certified 50 mm neodymium dynamic drivers are fitted. JBL gives a frequency response of 20 Hz to 40 kHz, a sensitivity of 95 dB at 1 kHz and 1 mW, a maximum SPL of 97 dB, a 32 ohm impedance and an input limit of 20 mW. The headset weighs 369 g.

Engineering and use context

QuantumSPHERE 360 combines an integrated head-tracking sensor with a by-pack calibration microphone. The user enters head diameter and height in the JBL QuantumENGINE PC software and calibrates the algorithm, so that the virtual soundscape stays fixed while the head moves. This feature works only on PC, and the headset is also equipped with DTS Headphone X v2.0. The ANC system operates only over the USB connection and is compatible with PC, PlayStation and Mac. The detachable, adjustable voice focus boom microphone is a unidirectional 6 mm by 2.7 mm capsule with a frequency response from 100 Hz to 10 kHz, a sensitivity of -41 dBV at 1 kHz/Pa, echo cancelling and noise suppression, and a mute button built into the ear cup, and it can be removed for use on the go or when an external microphone is used instead. A DISCORD-certified Game-Chat Balance Dial on the Type-C to A cable adjusts the level between two separate sound cards for game and chat, and it also works with TeamSpeak, Skype and similar services. QuantumENGINE manages user profiles, microphone volume, sensitivity and sidetone, RGB lighting effects and an equaliser with 6 presets that can also be set by hand and saved in profiles for specific games. JBL describes the headband as lightweight. Ear cushions are ventilated memory foam wrapped in leather. The box holds the headset, an analogue audio cable, the calibration microphone, the detachable boom microphone with a windshield foam, the Type-C to A cable with the dial, and printed documentation.

Pairing

JBL designed the Quantum ONE for PC use over USB, and through the analogue cable it also serves consoles from PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch as well as Mac, VR headsets and mobile devices, with a connectivity guide covering the details.

Alternatives

The JBL Quantum 200 is a simpler wired model from the same series with drivers of the same size, higher sensitivity, a flip-up microphone that mutes when raised, a 245 g weight and an analogue connection only.
