The MMCX, sold in full as the BASN MMCX Triple Driver, is a universal-fit hybrid in-ear monitor from BASN Audio, the earphone brand founded by Louis Lee in 2009. The model takes its name from the detachable connector it uses and is marketed to drummers, guitarists, singers and other performers who need an isolating monitor on stage. Detachable cables mean that a lead damaged on stage can be replaced without discarding the earpieces, and that the phone cable can be swapped for the plain audio lead before a gig. The box includes 12 sets of eartips - single, double and triple flange silicone in small, medium and large, plus three pairs of memory foam - together with a zippered carry case, a 6.3mm adapter, a cleaning brush, a cable clip and Velcro straps for cable management.

Its high sensitivity lets the MMCX run from a phone, tablet or laptop without a dedicated headphone amplifier. For live use it fits the mini-jack output of a wireless in-ear bodypack or a personal monitor mixer, and the adapter covers mixing desks, electronic drum modules and home amplifiers with full-size jacks.
