The CMF Headphone Pro is a closed-cup Bluetooth over-ear set sold under CMF, the lower-priced sub-brand of Nothing. It launched internationally in 2025 and reached the US on October 7, 2025, at USD 84, with spare ear cushions offered separately at USD 25. Colour choices are Dark Grey, Light Grey and Light Green, and extra pads come in bright orange and light green.

Key specs that matter

The 40 mm dynamic driver in each cup uses a nickel-plated diaphragm and a 16.5 mm copper voice coil in a dual-chamber arrangement. The quoted range runs from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. Hybrid adaptive noise cancelling promises as much as 40 dB of reduction across three modes. A 720 mAh cell sits in each ear cup, giving up to 100 hours when ANC is disabled and 50 hours with it on, measured at half volume over AAC. The headband assembly weighs about 283 g, and the cushions add roughly 45 g.

Engineering and use context

Bluetooth 5.4 carries SBC, AAC and LDAC, and the headphone holds Hi-Res Audio certification for wireless playback. Multipoint pairing links two source devices at once, and Google and Microsoft quick-pairing protocols are supported. A supplied 3.5 mm cable allows wired use. Controls rely on a multi-function roller for volume, playback and mode switching, an Energy Slider that shifts the bass and treble balance, and a customisable button that can call a voice assistant, toggle spatial audio or start voice notes on Nothing OS phones. The ear pads twist off, so worn or differently coloured cushions can be swapped without tools. Five microphones in total serve noise cancelling and calls, with a three-mic arrangement plus AI processing handling voice pickup. The Nothing X app adds Audiodo Personal Sound, which builds a hearing profile and tailors the EQ to it. The IPX2 rating covers light splashes and sweat rather than immersion.

Pairing

External amplification is unnecessary, since the drivers are powered internally and the headphone links by radio to a phone, tablet or laptop. An Android phone with LDAC output makes use of the higher-bitrate codec, while iPhones connect over AAC. For in-flight entertainment systems or a computer without Bluetooth, the wired jack input remains available.

Alternatives

The Nothing Headphone (1) is the brand's costlier over-ear wireless model, developed with KEF and fitted with drivers of the same size, head-tracked spatial audio and up to 35 hours of use with noise cancelling on.
