EarFun built the Air Pro 4 earbuds with adaptive active noise cancellation and Hi-Res Audio certification. It is built around a Qualcomm Snapdragon Sound platform, and EarFun released it in August 2024 at USD 89.99 in black, royal blue and glossy white.

Key specs that matter

A 10 mm composite dynamic driver sits in each earbud, and each earbud weighs 5 g. The Qualcomm QCC3091 chip handles Bluetooth 5.4 in the 2.402 to 2.480 GHz band with a range of up to 15 m without obstacles. Supported codecs are aptX Adaptive, including aptX Lossless up to 24 bit and 96 kHz, as well as LDAC, LC3 and SBC. The QuietSmart 3.0 adaptive noise cancellation reduces outside noise by up to 50 dB and has three manual levels - high, normal and low - plus an ambient sound mode. Each earbud plays for 11 hours with ANC off or 7.5 hours with ANC on, while the case extends those figures to 52 and 35 hours in total.

Engineering and use context

For calls, six microphones work with an AI noise algorithm and Qualcomm cVc 8.0 suppression. Batteries are rated at 54 mAh per earbud and 600 mAh in the case. Recharging the case works through USB-C or a wireless charging pad, and ten minutes of quick charging gives about two hours of listening. Multipoint pairing with two sources simultaneously is supported, which works with aptX Adaptive and aptX Lossless but requires LDAC to be switched off. The EarFun app offers 30 presets, a 10-band equalizer for saving custom settings and a personalised sound feature built from a hearing test of specific frequency bands. Tap controls on either earbud can be customised for playback, voice assistant and noise control, in-ear detection pauses and resumes music, Google Fast Pair is supported, and five sizes of silicone tips are included. The earbuds are rated IPX5 against water and sweat, and the charging case weighs 56 g. Support for LC3 places the model within the Bluetooth LE Audio standard, while aptX Lossless requires a source device with the matching Snapdragon Sound hardware.

Pairing

The Air Pro 4 receives audio straight from a Bluetooth source device, with no separate amplifier or DAC in the chain. Android phones with Snapdragon Sound can use aptX Lossless, other Android devices with LDAC support can use that codec, and Apple devices fall back to the basic Bluetooth codecs.
