The ELIE 12 is the larger of the two portable speakers in Fender Audio's ELIE range, the audio brand that the American guitar maker Fender owns and that Riffsound Pte. Ltd. of Singapore runs under licence. It made its debut at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, the brand's first appearance at the show, which was tied to Fender's 80th anniversary, and the ELIE speakers were launched together with the MIX headphones. The price is USD 399.99 and EUR 399.

Key specs that matter

The speaker carries six drivers, two full-range units, two tweeters and two subwoofers, driven by 2 x 60 W for a maximum of 120 W, and it reaches 101 dB SPL at 1 m. Audio is handled at 24 bit and 48 kHz. Up to four sources can be used at once, one over Bluetooth, one through the wired input and two through wireless channels. Bluetooth 5.3 supports SBC, AAC and LC3. The combo socket accepts a microphone on XLR, an instrument on a TS jack or a line source on a TRS jack, and it supplies 48 V phantom power. A 3.5 mm line output feeds a recorder. Battery life from the lithium-ion polymer cell is 15 hours, and 15 minutes of charging gives 2 hours of use. The speaker is rated IP54, measures 28.0 x 15.1 x 17.5 cm and weighs 3.97 kg.

Engineering and use context

A Waves system-on-chip provides MaxxAudio and MaxxBass DSP and Nx3D spatial processing, and bass and treble have their own knobs on the speaker. Doubling every driver type compared with the smaller model gives a stereo layout inside one cabinet. The two proprietary wireless channels have very low latency and are intended for Fender Audio wireless microphones and accessories, so a singer or instrument can be heard without an audible delay. Single mode, Stereo mode with a second ELIE and Multi mode for up to 100 linked speakers are offered. The battery charges over USB-C, and a 12 V output can charge other devices from it. The top carries a solid maple accent, and the carrying handle is faux leather, with Olympic White and Skyscraper Black as the colour options. The IP54 rating protects the speaker against dust and splashing water outdoors.

Pairing

A phone or tablet streams over Bluetooth while a microphone, guitar or keyboard plugs into the combo socket, which makes the ELIE 12 suitable for small gatherings and rehearsals. Linking a second ELIE 12 gives left and right channels.

Alternatives

The Fender Audio ELIE 06 is the smaller model with three drivers and 18 hours of battery life.
