The Icon A-50 is a two-channel network integrated amplifier from Onkyo's Icon Series, a range that also includes the C-30 CD player, the P-80 network preamplifier and the M-80 power amplifier. Through HDMI ARC, a TV can feed the amplifier directly, so one box can serve both music and TV sound in a living room. Since the phono stage handles both cartridge types, turntable owners can connect either an MM or MC cartridge without a separate phono preamplifier. A line-level RCA preamp output can drive an active subwoofer or feed an outboard power amp, and a 6.3 mm headphone jack is fitted on the front panel beside a 3.5 mm microphone socket used for DSP loudness setup.
