The 5510 is a stereo integrated amplifier from UK maker Exposure Electronics, launched in September 2025 as the first model of a new 5510 Series. Exposure calls the series its best performing yet, built with high quality components and sound engineering practice. At launch the amplifier sold in the UK for GBP 4,600 including VAT, in a black finish, while the euro price was EUR 4,600 and US and Australian pricing was left to be confirmed. Exposure designed it as a one-box answer for listeners who want to avoid a stack of separate components.

Key specs that matter

Each channel of the Class A/B circuit delivers 120 W into 8 ohms at 1 kHz. THD stays under 0.02 percent at rated power into 8 ohms at 1 kHz, while signal-to-noise exceeds 100 dB, A-weighted at 1 kHz. Power consumption stays under 400 W with both channels driven into 8 ohms. Mains supply is factory set for 110/120 V or 220/240 V at 50/60 Hz. The case measures 115 x 440 x 300 mm and the net weight is 12 kg.

Engineering and use context

As delivered, the 5510 is fully analogue, with line-level inputs only. Its main feature is expansion by plug-in boards - a moving magnet, moving coil or DS optical phono stage can be fitted, and a DAC board adds digital playback. The DAC board provides an optical input and a USB input, and the USB connection handles up to 32-bit/768 kHz along with DSD files. Inside, a custom toroidal transformer carries a hum shield as part of a low-noise design. Solid high-grade aluminium panels form the chassis to control resonance, and the front panel is kept minimal. Its white OLED readout can be set to one of five brightness levels or left to switch itself off. Around the back sit RCA outputs and a tape output, two sets of single-ended pre-outs and two pairs of loudspeaker terminals per channel. Exposure includes a remote handset with the amplifier.

Exposure positions this power rating as sufficient for most loudspeakers. The company presents the phono and DAC boards as the route for owners of a turntable or a music streamer, and within the same series it now offers the 5510 Pre-Amplifier and the 5510 mono power amplifiers for a separates system.
