Exposure's 3510 integrated belongs to the 3510 family, which replaced the 3010 range in 2021. Designed by Tony Brady and built in the UK, it takes its power amplifier section from technology developed for the 5010 monoblocks, and it succeeds the 3010S2D in the catalogue.
Key specs that matter
Output is 110W RMS per channel into 8 ohms at 1kHz and 200W into 4 ohms. Frequency response is 20Hz to 20kHz within 0.5dB, THD stays below 0.03% at rated output (1kHz), signal to noise exceeds 100dB referred to rated output, and channel separation is better than 60dB across the audio band. The six line inputs have 17k ohm minimum impedance and 250mV sensitivity. The pre out delivers 1.9V for rated input and up to 7.7V RMS at 1kHz, and the headphone output has an output impedance below 12 ohms. Power consumption is under 400W with both channels driving 8 ohms. The case measures 440 mm wide, 300 mm deep and 115 mm high, and weighs 12 kg net.
Engineering and use context
Amplification is Class AB with fast bipolar power transistors, supplied by a 400VA toroidal transformer with extra smoothing circuits. The preamplifier gain stage uses discrete transistors only, and a hybrid power supply keeps noise on the supply rails low. Input switching and volume tracking were reworked to cut crosstalk. Owners can fit an optional MM or MC phono board in place of one line input, and a plug-in DAC in place of another. A switch gives the AV input either fixed or variable gain, so the amplifier can serve as a normal stereo input or pass a home cinema processor through at fixed gain. Doubled speaker binding posts allow bi-wiring, and an LED display in the middle of the fascia shows the selected input beside the headphone socket. The casework is all aluminium with a thick extruded front panel, and two finishes are offered, black and titanium.
Pairing
The pre out lets the 3510 bi-amp a pair of speakers with an added power amplifier, or hand the load over to a separate power amp entirely. Overcurrent protection limits output into 2 ohms to the 4 ohm figure, so very low impedance speakers are not its best match. Within the same series Exposure offers the 3510 stereo power amplifier and, from a year after launch, the 3510 Mono with balanced inputs, both suited to that upgrade path.
Alternatives
The Exposure 2510 is the lower integrated amplifier, which delivers 75W into 8 ohms and carries five line inputs plus a built-in MM phono stage.
