The amplifier is best suited for speakers with a sensitivity of 90 dB or higher, as well as with a relatively flat impedance curve. Among the potentially suitable options are the DeVore Fidelity, Klipsch Heritage, Audio Note, Omega and PureAudioProject models. For low-sensitivity floor systems, Magnepan speakers, and large room sound, the Pilot 232 power probably won't be enough.

In fact, this is a 2-in-1 device: it works both as a phono corrector (for vinyl records) and as a regular linear preamp. This approach removes unnecessary links in the circuit — you do not need to connect a phono corrector and a linear unit separately, the signal is cleaner.
