23.08.2025 05:03 | ~1 minute read

in-akustik has announced new R2R Master Tape releases (each reel is available in Start, Standard and Studio versions). The tapes are recorded individually in real time on Studer A80 studio tape recorders.

The Master Tapes are created from newly prepared analogue master tapes made from selected high-quality digital sources. Mastering is carried out by Christoph Stickel (ECM, Deutsche Grammophon, Keith Jarrett), one of the most respected mastering engineers in Europe and a Grammy nominee.

The pearl of the new collection is the album "One Of These Nights" by Al Di Meola in a new mix created directly from the original multi-track recordings. Releasing magnetic tapes of this level requires significant manual labor: each copy is recorded in real time, packaging and components are made in small batches, and each master is prepared specifically for a specific print run.
