The DreamPlay Twenty-Twenty is a turntable from Kalista, the luxury brand of Métronome Technologie, the French company founded in 1987 and led by owner and designer Jean Marie Clauzel. It was made to celebrate 20 years since the first plans for the Kalista CD player in 2000, which reached the market in 2002. It was teased at High End Munich and priced at EUR 44,700.

The platter floats on magnets, so much of its 16 kg weight is carried by magnetic repulsion rather than pressing on the bearing, reducing friction and bearing noise. The high mass of the brass platter gives rotational inertia that smooths speed. The motor sits in a separate housing, keeping its vibration away from the platter and arm, and electronic control holds the speed accurate. Three feet with magnetic fluid suspension isolate the turntable from vibrations carried through the support. The tonearm allows full adjustment, and the choice of three counterweights balances cartridges of different weights. The design follows the Kalista style of its CD players, with the characteristic front section and a touchscreen, and the combination of aluminium, methacrylate and steel. The turntable was designed in Métronome's workshops in south-west France and is hand-made in Europe at Kalista's partner facilities. Company head Clauzel noted that the company is not a turntable specialist, although it had made the Gaia model about 15 years earlier. Kalista's best-known products are its DreamPlay CD transports with CD-Pro mechanisms, built by hand in France, and the Kalista DAC with its Elektra power supplies.
