The T8 is the first dedicated streaming transport from Eversolo, a Chinese maker whose earlier DMP players combine streaming with a built-in DAC. The T8 leaves out conversion entirely and hands its data stream to an outboard DAC. It was launched on 1 December 2025 at a list price of USD 1,380 or EUR 1,380.

Key specs that matter

Playback reaches native DSD512 and PCM at 32-bit and 768 kHz, and MQA decoding is included. Five kinds of digital output are fitted - I2S over an HDMI socket with eight selectable pin modes, an isolated USB audio port, a fully balanced and isolated AES/EBU connection on XLR, an isolated coaxial port rated to 24-bit and 192 kHz, and an optical port. A femtosecond master clock, the Accusilicon AS318-B at 49.152 MHz, sets the timing. The case measures 315 x 230 x 88 mm and weighs 4.5 kg.

Engineering and use context

The T8 draws its power from a linear supply with a custom toroidal transformer wound with 4N oxygen-free copper and insulated with Teflon, and Eversolo quotes supply noise as low as 30 microvolts. A quad-core ARM processor runs the system with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of eMMC storage. The 6-inch touchscreen sits in a shielded display assembly that is physically isolated from the audio circuits, and dedicated touch buttons handle direct control. Networking covers Wi-Fi 6, a Gigabit RJ45 port and an SFP slot for an optical fibre module that keeps the data path electrically isolated. Two internal SSD slots accept drives of up to 8 TB each, for 16 TB of local music storage. The EOS engine passes files at their original sample rate without conversion. Services include Qobuz Connect, AirPlay 2, TIDAL Connect, Roon Ready, Spotify Connect, Amazon Music, Deezer and TuneIn, with DLNA, NAS, WebDAV and Dropbox for stored files, and a USB CD-ROM drive can be attached for disc playback. The chassis is CNC-machined aluminium alloy, and Wake-on-LAN lets the network bring the unit out of standby.

Pairing

With no DAC inside, the T8 always needs a separate converter. The I2S modes let it match converters that take I2S over HDMI with different pin layouts, while the AES/EBU output suits converters with a balanced digital input and longer cable runs. USB serves most modern DACs and carries the full resolution range, whereas the coaxial link has a lower limit. Control is by the Eversolo app for Android and iOS or by a remote that works over Bluetooth and infrared.

Alternatives

The Eversolo DMP-A6 is a network player of the same brand with two ES9038Q2M converter chips in dual mono and a preamplifier stage.
