Key specs that matter
A Philips front loading CD mechanism, modified in-house by Audio Note, is fitted, with a three-beam laser pick-up working at 780 nm. The single digital output is a 75 ohm RCA socket, driven through a custom wound copper digital output transformer that gives full galvanic isolation between the transport and the connected converter.
Engineering and use context
The chassis measures 120 x 300 x 220 mm (HxWxD) and weighs 4 kg. Mains input covers 100-120 V and 220-240 V at 50 or 60 Hz, and the fascia is offered in black acrylic or silver aluminium.
