The Vincent CD-600 is a full-width CD player from the solidLine2.0 series, which the German brand launched in July 2026 with immediate availability together with the SV-600 integrated amplifier. Vincent describes it as a machine that concentrates on disc playback, and it has no streaming or network functions, yet it can also act as an outboard converter. The solidLine2.0 series relies on pure transistor technology without valves, and it continues the original solidLine that Vincent introduced in 1999 with a preamplifier and power amplifier.

Decoding is done by an ESS ES9038Q2M chip running at 24 bit and 192 kHz. The maker specifies a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz within plus or minus 1 dB, total harmonic distortion under 0.005 percent, signal to noise better than 93 dB and dynamic range beyond 100 dB. Analogue output voltage is 2.5 V and channel separation exceeds 80 dB. Maximum consumption is rated at 25 W. The chassis measures 430 x 132 x 350 mm, the player weighs 8.29 kg, and the finish is either black or silver.

Engineering and use context

A Sanyo drawer drive designed only for audio playback is combined with specially developed servo software, which according to Vincent is meant to make sure every single signal on the CD is scanned with precision. The drive and electronics sit in a solid, massive case. Behind the converter the analogue section is laid out as four independent channel circuits, each with its own filter as well as separate amplifier and buffer stages. Capacitors come from WIMA and Nichicon. Analogue connections on the back are two stereo RCA pairs and one balanced XLR pair, and the digital outputs come as one optical and one coaxial socket. Optical and coaxial digital inputs let the internal ESS converter decode the signal from an external digital source. A pair of 3.5 mm power-control jacks, one in and one out, is also fitted.

Vincent introduced the CD-600 as the partner for the SV-600 integrated amplifier of the same solidLine2.0 series, with a matching full-width case, and the two are matched in appearance as well as technically. The balanced XLR output suits amplifiers that offer a balanced line input, while the second RCA pair allows a second amplifier or a recorder to remain wired up in parallel.
