Engineering and use context

With a single 10-inch driver covering the bass and midrange, the Uruz follows the two-way principle of the Lore and Lore Excite, whose cabinets have the same size. Its sensitivity is higher than the 94 and 95 dB of those two models, and its upper frequency limit exceeds their 30 kHz. The nominal impedance suits both tube and solid-state amplifiers. The sensitivity rating equals that of the Perfect SET 15, a model built specifically for single-ended triode amplifiers, and the upper limit matches the figure Tekton gives for the far larger Matrix LS. Production is in the USA, with free delivery inside the continental US. The Uruz is slightly lighter than the Lore at 27.2 kg and the Lore Excite at 26.3 kg. Pairing

The high sensitivity means that SET designs of a few watts, small push-pull tube amplifiers and compact solid-state integrated amplifiers can all drive the Uruz. The power handling figure is a maximum, so a large amplifier should be used with care at high volume.
