The P2.0 is a 2.5-way floorstanding loudspeaker from Wilson Benesch's Precision Series, built with carbon-fibre hybrid technology drawing on over three decades of the brand's research and development. Wilson Benesch pioneered carbon-fibre use in audio back in 1989, and the Precision Series distills the brand's core reference-line loudspeaker technologies into a more accessible entry point, filling rooms with power and refinement while maintaining exceptional value relative to Wilson Benesch's flagship models.

Key specs that matter

The Precision Series enclosure is hybridised and further stiffened using threaded steel bars terminating into threaded pockets on both the aluminium top and bottom caps plus the front and rear aluminium baffles, torqued to create compressive force across both the vertical and horizontal axis - this same construction technology is used across Wilson Benesch's reference loudspeaker line and even within the Isobars of the brand's R1 HiFi Rack, a genuine trickle-down engineering approach. A dedicated Tactic 2.0 midrange drive unit and a dedicated Tactic 2.0 bass drive unit flank the Leonardo tweeter positioned at the speaker's acoustic centre, with all drivers custom fabricated in-house by Wilson Benesch. At 1105 x 269 x 472mm and roughly 50kg (110 lbs) per speaker unboxed, this is a substantial cabinet for its relatively slim footprint. Standard finishes include Precision Black, Precision White and Verde, with architectural finishes such as Aged Walnut, Burr Walnut, Aged Oak, Silver Birch, Slate, Bronze and leather options also available.

Sound and use context

Expect exceptional detail resolution and clarity - convincing instrumental textures, with both finesse in tracking subtle dynamic shifts and genuine brute force during demanding crescendos, though this speaker benefits from a larger room to fully shine.

Pairing

Given the considerable sensitivity and scale this speaker demonstrates, careful cable and amplifier matching matters - with the P2.0's high sensitivity, even cable choice becomes audibly significant.

Alternatives

Wilson Benesch's P3.0 sits above this model in the Precision line with an additional bass driver for deeper, more authoritative low-frequency extension, worth the further investment if this P2.0's already exceptional performance still leaves ambitions unmet given a larger room to fill.
