Lorenzo Audio of Granada, Spain, builds the LM6 as a three-way tower and lists it in its range next to the LM1, LM2 and LM3. It was announced on 10 March 2025 and is the brand's first fully sealed loudspeaker, as earlier Lorenzo floorstanders use reflex loading. The price is EUR 79,000 per pair. Construction follows the company's practice of CNC-machined cabinets finished by hand in natural wood veneer, and buyers can order custom finishes.

Key specs that matter

A single 15 inch dual-concentric driver combining a paper diaphragm with alnico magnetics handles both the bass and midrange, and an AMT tweeter mounted in a custom-made horn covers the treble. Lorenzo rates the frequency response at 27 Hz to 23 kHz, sensitivity at 95 dB and nominal impedance at 8 ohm. Each speaker is 130 cm high, 51.5 cm wide and 43 cm deep, and weighs 86 kg, well under half the 220 kg of the LM1 MK2. It also stands 42.5 cm lower than the 172.5 cm tall LM1.

Engineering and use context

Cabinet walls are 41 mm phenolic laminated wood, thinner than those of the LM1 and precision machined on 5-axis CNC equipment. Leaving out a reflex port changes how the woofer is controlled at low frequencies, and Lorenzo states the aim is precise bass with less interaction with the room. The dual-concentric layout places the acoustic centres of the lower driver sections on one axis, and the AMT tweeter in its horn adds a separate high-frequency unit. The crossover is phase-optimised and described as three-way. Like other Lorenzo networks it is assembled by hand with welded joints and no printed circuit boards, using parts from Jupiter, Mundorf and Pathaudio. The cabinet rests on solid steel feet fitted with a Panzerholz base, a dense compressed wood used by the company to control vibration at contact points. Its lower size and weight make it easier to handle and place in a living space of around 20 m2 or more.

Pairing

The recommended amplifier range is 20 to 300 W. With high efficiency and an easy nominal load, the LM6 suits small tube amplifiers, single-ended types among them, while solid-state amplifiers up to the 300 W ceiling are also within the maker's guidance.

Alternatives

The Lorenzo Audio LM1 MK2 is the larger four-way floorstander of the range, using a 16 inch woofer, an 11 inch midrange, a compression driver and a super tweeter.
