The Goldy is a floorstanding loudspeaker from the German maker AER, built around a BBX exciter driver mounted in a fully transparent acrylic baffle and working as a dipole. The output is tuned by an onboard digital sound processor, and bass and treble dials let the owner adjust both ends of the response.

Key specs that matter

Efficiency is quoted at 90 dB, with a stated response of 17 Hz to 42 kHz within plus or minus 3 dB. Nominal impedance is 4 ohms, with 100 to 300 W named as suitable amplifier power. The cabinet measures 42 x 128 x 26 cm and weighs 10 kg.

Pairing

The low impedance favours an amplifier able to deliver ample current, while the open dipole baffle needs free space behind the speaker.
