The ELEVEN is a fully active 3.5-way floorstanding loudspeaker from Econik Speakers, a company based in Sulzfeld, Germany, that develops and builds its models in Germany. It was opened for pre-order ahead of its debut at High End 2025 in Munich, with shipping planned from late June. The regular launch price was EUR 8,349 per pair, the first eleven buyers were offered EUR 1,100 off, and the current maker listing shows EUR 7,349 per pair including VAT.
Key specs that matter
Each cabinet carries seven drivers, all from SEAS unless the Mundorf option is chosen. Buyers choose between a 25 mm SEAS Excel dome tweeter and an 80 mm Mundorf AMT. Two 125 mm SEAS Prestige midrange units sit either side of the tweeter, and four 165 mm SEAS Prestige woofers handle the bass, two on the front baffle and two on the rear panel. The digital crossover splits the signal at 80 Hz, 350 Hz and 3,500 Hz. Econik rates the response at 19 Hz to 30 kHz within plus or minus 1.5 dB. Four Class-D amplifiers of 150 W give 600 W per speaker, and each amplifier can deliver 330 W peak. The enclosure is 200 mm wide, or 300 mm across the feet, 1,100 mm tall, or 1,140 mm on the feet, and 300 mm deep, and it weighs 29 kg. Finishes are matt white and matt black.
Engineering and use context
Placing the tweeter between the pair of midrange units forms a D'Appolito arrangement, chosen by the maker for controlled dispersion. The rear-facing woofers are not passive radiators - they are driven by their own active channels like the front pair. A quad-core DSP runs the crossover with both IIR and FIR filters, and two CS4398 DAC chips are fitted. A dynamic bass adjustment is based on the ISO 226 standard in its 2003 edition. Cabinets are built from 19 mm MDF. Econik gives 5 years of warranty on the speakers and 2 years on the electronics, extended to 10 and 5 years for first-time buyers.
Pairing
With amplification built in, the speakers need only a source. Audio arrives either wirelessly over WiSA, which carries 24-bit and 96 kHz signals without compression, or through XLR inputs that accept balanced and unbalanced sources. The WiSA platform lets the ELEVEN work in 2.0 stereo or form the front channels of a surround setup of up to 7.1 channels, and Econik also describes a Dolby Atmos layout that adds two ceiling speakers.
Alternatives
Econik makes no other floorstanding model, since the SIX and FOUR are compact active bookshelf speakers, the SEVEN is a centre unit and the 1851 is a suspended design.
