The AIR XD 10 is the smallest full-range model of the PreSonus AIR XD series, a range of active two-way sound reinforcement speakers from PreSonus Audio Electronics, which belongs to Fender. The series was announced on 14 October 2025 alongside 12 and 15 inch models and two subwoofers, and the AIR XD 10 costs USD 449.99 in the PreSonus store. It is used for small live events, DJ sets and as a stage monitor.

Key specs that matter

A 10 inch woofer with a 2.36 inch voice coil is paired with a 1 inch compression driver with a PEEK diaphragm, with the crossover at 2.2 kHz. A Class D bi-amplifier provides 1,500 W, split into 1,060 W for the woofer and 468 W for the compression driver. Response runs from 66 Hz to 20 kHz at -3 dB and from 55 Hz at -10 dB, and peak output is 130 dB SPL, with 90 by 60 degree coverage. Two XLR and TRS combo inputs and a 3.5 mm stereo input feed the built-in mixer, and one XLR output carries the mix onward. Bluetooth 5.0 with TWS completes the connections. Mains input is 100 to 240 V AC through an IEC inlet. The speaker is 51.6 cm high, 30.0 cm wide and 29.1 cm deep and weighs 13.9 kg.

Engineering and use context

Bi-amplification gives each driver its own amplifier channel after an active crossover, so the high-frequency driver is not loaded by a passive network and the limiter can protect each driver separately. A compression driver behind a horn converts amplifier power into sound far more efficiently than a direct-radiating dome, which is how a cabinet of this size reaches its peak level. The smaller compression driver of the AIR XD 10 crosses over higher than the 1.35 inch unit of the AIR XD 12. The DSP offers speech, music, FOH and monitor settings, the equaliser adjusts highs and lows by up to 10 dB and a limiter guards against overload, all shown on a 2.6 inch colour LCD. The moulded H-PP cabinet resists knocks during transport, and the 1.2 mm steel grille protects the drivers. A pole socket with 0 and 7.5 degree positions and M10 suspension points, two on top and one on the rear, allow stand mounting or flying. The speaker can be carried and lifted onto a pole by one person, and the tilted pole position points it down towards the audience.

Pairing

A pair linked over TWS Bridge Mode or the XLR output works as a stereo system, and an AIR XD subwoofer extends the bass for dance music.

Alternatives

The PreSonus AIR XD 15 is the full-range model of the series with a 15 inch woofer and response down to 40 Hz.
