The SVEN MC-15 is a powered two-way 2.0 speaker pair built into wooden MDF cabinets and designed to sit beside a television, computer or turntable setup. It accepts digital audio from a TV through HDMI ARC or an optical cable, streams over Bluetooth, and adds a balanced TRS input intended for professional sources. A remote control is supplied, and the amplification is separated for each driver in a bi-amped layout.

Key specs that matter

Total output is 60 W RMS, delivered as 2 x 30 W. SVEN quotes a frequency range of 45 Hz to 20,000 Hz. Each cabinet pairs a 95 mm woofer with a 23 mm tweeter, and a bass reflex port supports the low range. The system runs from mains power at 230 V and 50 Hz. Each speaker is 140 mm wide, 230 mm high and 175 mm deep, the weight is 3.8 kg, and black is the finish offered. The digital inputs mean the TV or console signal stays digital until it reaches the processing inside the speakers, avoiding an extra conversion stage in the source. Remote control covers input selection and level from the listening seat.

Engineering and use context

Bi-amping means the woofer and tweeter in each box receive their own amplifier channels after the crossover split, instead of sharing one output through a passive network. Combined with digital signal processing, this lets the electronics shape each band before it reaches its driver. The MDF enclosures are denser and less resonant than the plastic cases common in multimedia speakers at this size. Tone can be adjusted with rotary controls, and a built-in equalizer offers several presets including a Monitor mode for desk-side use. A headphone jack allows private listening without unplugging the speakers. The HDMI ARC link lets the television pass its audio out over the same cable it uses for other devices, and the optical input covers older sets and game consoles that lack ARC. The balanced TRS socket accepts signals from audio interfaces and mixers, where the balanced connection rejects noise picked up along longer cable runs.

Pairing

A modern TV with an ARC-capable HDMI port connects with one cable, while a PC or laptop can use Bluetooth or the analogue input. Home recording users can feed the MC-15 straight from the balanced outputs of an audio interface. With its bass extension the pair covers most programme material on its own in a 20 m2 room, and the compact cabinets suit a desk, a low media unit or a pair of small stands.

Alternatives

The SVEN MC-10 is a more affordable model in the same 2.0 series, adding an FM tuner plus USB and SD playback.
