The ICE DIAMOND is a bespoke wireless over-ear headphone made by Loewe Technology in collaboration with the jeweller Jacob & Co. It was unveiled in Monaco on 27 August 2025 alongside a sister model, the NOIR RAINBOW, and both are limited to ten pieces each. The headphone is based on the Loewe Leo, which reached the US market in September 2025, and it adds a handcrafted jewelled ring to that platform. The standard Leo is listed at USD 1,680, so almost the whole price of the ICE DIAMOND is accounted for by the gold, the stones and the handwork of the limited run. The ICE DIAMOND is priced at USD 135,000 or EUR 119,000 and is sold directly by Loewe on request.
Key specs that matter
The jewellery element is a 14K white gold ring weighing 42.5 g, set with 12.47 carats of white diamonds made up of 456 round brilliant stones. Inside, the Leo platform uses 50 mm dynamic drivers with OCE diaphragms, short for Olefin Composite Elastomer, fed by a built-in DAC and amplifier. Wireless connection is Bluetooth 5.3 plus LE Audio, with multipoint, and the headphone supports high-resolution codecs, including LC3+ at 96 kHz and 24 bit. The battery is a 3.7 V cell of 660 mAh rated for up to 65 hours of playback. Weight is listed at 360 g, and the design carries an IP53 rating against dust and light water.
Engineering and use context
The closed over-ear shell uses an anodised aluminium frame with leather ear cushions. Adaptive noise cancellation and a transparency mode are built in, and the headphone supports spatial audio and Dolby Atmos content. Controls combine rotary dials with touch surfaces on the earcups. The companion app adds Mimi Sound Personalisation, and the feature set also covers real-time AI translation and voice assistant access. As a production run of only ten units, each piece is handcrafted, and the jewelled ring is the part that separates it from the standard model. Here the stones are all white against white gold, while the NOIR RAINBOW uses multicolour sapphires instead.
Pairing
As a Bluetooth headphone with its own converter and amplifier, the ICE DIAMOND needs no external headphone amplifier. Phones, tablets and laptops link over Bluetooth, and the multipoint function holds connections to more than one device simultaneously. Full use of the LC3+ high-resolution mode requires a source device that supports LE Audio.
Alternatives
The Loewe NOIR RAINBOW is the sister edition on the same platform, set with 15.97 carats of multicolour sapphires and priced at USD 115,000.
